Love this book! Great for teaching comparison adjectives: big, bigger, biggest; fast, faster, fastest; strong, stronger, strongest, etc. It's also great for encouraging movement and getting kids going and possibly competing with each other.
My kids love all of the Berenstain Bears books by Stan and Jan.
The writing is a little long and advanced for the intended interest audience. I don't love them.
The kids loved this book and the characters!
This is an awesome read-aloud for both early childhood aged to school aged children alike. It always recalls the nostalgia of my childhood reading any of The Berenstain Bear books. This book is a great story for when teaching comparatives and superlatives!!! The kids enjoyed it as much as me. :)
I use it when I am introducing comparative adjectives to my 2nd grade students. They love it and its a great way to show them in action! Love the Berenstain Bears!
READY, GET SET GO! is a book by Stan and Jan Berestain. This book is about Papa bear, Brother bear, and Sister bear in a fun competition against each other. They do different AMAZING events like rope climbing. Mama bear is the remarkable coach. They all win events except Papa. finally Papa wins the best sleeper award.The reason I adore this book is because it's funny and AWESOME! I love seeing all the events like who jumps the farthest, who climbs the highest, and who swings the highest. Berenstain Bear books are one of my favorite books to read. You should read this book!By Aselin J.
My 5 year old said he liked it but it wasn't one of his favorite Berenstain Bear books. It wasn't as funny as the others and he didn't find the lesson as interesting but he did say he learned that you should never give up.
